• E:Can’t open /cache/recovery/command
• E:Can’t open /cache/recovery/log
• E:Can’t open /cache/recovery/last_log

No mather what I did, I couldn’t boot into the system because of the /cache partition.

After researching and checking the different options I had, I found a tool named nvflash.exe and with this tool i solved the problem above.

Preparing the things that you need

Downloading the software:

1. Download the flash package:Download
2. Download the Driver package: Download

Prepare Phone

1. Power down phone
2. Remove battery
3. Hold VOL_DWN+VOL_UP & plug in USB connection from computer (note, your phone will not visibly respond but it will boot to APX mode quickly)
4. Open Device Manager in Windows and you should see “APX Device” listed with an error
5. If not, rinse and repeat

Install Driver

1. Right click on the APX device
2. Select ‘Update driver software’
3. Select ‘Browse my computer…’
4. Select ‘Let me pick…’
5. Select ‘Have disk’
6. Browse to directory you extracted the *driver* software to above
7. Select ‘NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices’
8. Accept any warnings, including the big red alert (you may need to disable UAC)
9. Now in Device Manager under ‘USB Controllers’ you should have an ‘NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices’
10. If not, uninstall the driver, reboot, rinse and repeat

Testing

1. Make sure your phone is still plugged in to the computer.
2. Start => Run => CMD
3. Navigate the the directory you extracted the NVFlash archive to (2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash.zip)
4. In my case:
   cd D:
   cd D:\Private\Downloads\LG\flasher\2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash
5. Run a harmless command such as “nvflash –sync” (in CMD)
6. You should get something back like:

(You may get some kind of boot image error but thats oké)

Repairing the Phone

1. After everything has gone well there is a file named flash.bat in the directory.
2. Run flash.bat from the directory
3. Wait for flash to complete and device to reboot

After following these steps you should boot into a original non rooted LG Optimus X2.
After this part it is y0urs to flash him again into a ROM that you like.

Because Android is Linux I thought that the mounting should be configured in a textfile somewhere in the root/system area. After a small research on the device I found a file names vold.fstab in the /system/etc/ directory.  After I opened the file I saw all the mount paths of my device and you know what…, IT WAS THE RIGHT FILE TO OPEN!! WOHOOW!

In order to fix this you need to put your device in Debug Mode.

Open the command shell of your computer and follow the steps below.

C:\adb shell

#mount -o remount,rw -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk0p25 /system

This step makes the read only system folder writeable and remov

Type exit so you exit the shell mode and pull the file with adb from your device

C:\adb pull /system/etc/vold.fstab

After you have pulled the file from your device you can open it with your editor (e.g. Notepad)

Overwrite the content with the following data:

After this you need to reboot your device, if you followed these steps successfully you should see your emmc as the default sdcard. (It worked for me)

syslogd failed @ <Date>. A restart was attempted automagically.
Service Check Method: [check command]

Solution:

Check whether it sysklogd present.

[~]# rpm -q sysklogd

After that re-run or run:

[~]# yum install sysklogd

Then restart the service,

[~]# /etc/init.d/syslog restart

This should solve the problem!

So I searched what was causing the problem. I found that a couple of DLL’s were not properly registered.

To Solve this problem follow the following steps:

Fix Image to link problem (Windows update needs this one also)
Start >Run, type
regsvr32 jscript.dll
<enter>

Fix Windows update blank Screen:
Start >Run, type
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
<enter>

After following the above steps restart you Internet Explorer and everything should be solved!

After searching what causes the problem and cursing HP for their “über software” I finally solved the problem!

There were certain services and DLL files that were not properly uninstalled.

The Windows services (files) were:

Pml Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZipm12.dll)
Net Driver HPZ12 (C:\Windows\System32\HPZinw12.dll)

These 2 services will corrupt your installation resulting the error mentioned above.

THE SOLUTION!

Check to make sure that the 2 Windows services above are not running (or not installed).

- Services.msc

Rename the 2 associated service DLL files (this will only be possible once the services are stopped)

Run the installation again.

The steps above should resolve your problem.

Basic Configuration:

In this tutorial we are going to configure the following things:

1 – Securing the configuration modes and ports

When it comes to basic password security, there are three basic types:

• Line Passwords
• Privileged mode Passwords (enable mode)
• Username Passwords (optional)

At the switch prompt, type en to enter enable mode.

Switch>en
 Switch#

Enter the configure terminal mode, by typing conf t.

Switch# conf t
 Switch(config)#

Set the Secret Password

Switch(config)#enable secret <new_secret_password>

Set the Enable Password

Switch(config)#enable password <new_enable_password>

Set the VTY Password

Sw1(config)#line vty 0 15
Sw1(config-line)#password <new_vty_password>
Sw1(config-line)#login

Set the Console password

Switch(config-line)#line con 0
 Switch(config-line)#password <new_console_password>

2 – Making the banner

Stay in the configure terminal mode (conf t)

type the following command

Thats all folks the basic configuration of a switch! Not that hard!

• MYSQL error 1071

A  friend came and looked into the problem, he concluded that I need InnoDB to solve this problem.

But how do I activate INNODB for cPanel?

1- What I have:

• VPS (Virtual Private Server) www.maxserv.nl
  • Shell root access
• WHM/CPanel (cPanel 11.25.0-R44718 – WHM 11.25.0 – X 3.9)

2 – Activating InnoDB

1. Login into you VPS with SSH and root
2. Open the following file

nano /etc/my.cnf

1. Find the following line and comment it out.
   1. skip-inndob

[mysqld]
#skip-inndob

Now login into you WHM

http://domain/whm

Go to

1. Restart Services
2. Click on: SQL Server (MySQL)
3. Then confirm the process with a “Yes”

All of these steps should activate the InnoDB module, you can test it by going into your phpMyAdmin > SQL

Enter: show engines; command into the empty field and press <Start>

It should give the output:
